Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be picked up by a Kimgoni representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha for your overnight stay, relaxation, and preparation for the adventures to come.
Your overnight stay will be at the lodge or camp
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
You will depart from your lodge in Arusha after an early breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive.
Along the way, you will be able to see Maasai traditional steppes and Maasai people raring the cattle.
You will reach Tarangire after driving for approximately 2 hours. Tarangire is the park that harbors the largest herds of elephants, sometimes referred to as “the home of elephants.”
The baobab tree is another popular feature in this park. After several hours of driving, you will retreat to a picnic site for lunch. You will then continue with the afternoon game drive before exiting the park and driving to Marera Valley Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will head towards Ngorongoro Ndutu. It is part of the annual migratory route of hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes (and their predators) who come to graze and give birth between December and April, depending on the rains.
The forests around Lake Ndutu and the small koppies also support prolific resident wildlife. From January, it is the beginning of the calving season for wildebeests. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Sero Tented Camp.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast, you will go down to this magnificent crater for a game drive.
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife areas in the world and is home to around 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania's last black rhinos.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest entire volcanic caldera in the world at 8,300sq km and is arguably the most magnificent arena. Late in the afternoon, you will drive back to Arusha where you will be transferred to the airport.
